Refund Policy

1. Overview

CoverLetterAI operates on a credit-based model. Because AI generation involves real compute costs incurred at the moment of use, credits are non-refundable once consumed. Refunds are only available in the specific circumstances outlined below.

2. Eligibility for Refunds

A refund may be issued only if: (a) no credits from the transaction have been used at the time of the refund request, or (b) the purchase was made by mistake (e.g. an accidental or duplicate transaction). Requests that do not meet either of these criteria will not be eligible for a refund.

3. Credits Are Non-Refundable Once Used

Credits are non-refundable once any credit from a transaction has been consumed. Each cover letter generation uses one credit, and that cost is incurred at the time of generation regardless of whether you choose to use the output. We are unable to issue refunds for partially used credit packages.

4. Accidental or Duplicate Purchases

If you made a purchase by mistake or accidentally completed a duplicate transaction, please contact us within 48 hours at support@coverletterai.xyz. We will review the request and, where confirmed and no credits have been used, refund the charge in full.

5. Technical Failures

If a credit was deducted from your account due to a confirmed technical error on our end — for example, a failed generation where no output was delivered — we will restore the credit to your account. Please report such issues within 7 days at support@coverletterai.xyz.

6. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. We encourage you to reach out to us directly — most issues can be resolved promptly without the need for a formal dispute.

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at support@coverletterai.xyz with the subject line "Refund Request". Please include your account email, the transaction ID, and a brief description of why you are requesting a refund. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

8. Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and returned to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card provider.

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
